How it works
There are a total of eight group (A-H) with four teams in each group. The teams in each group will play each other twice; once at home and once away.
Points are awarded for each match using the usual rules, with 3 points awarded for a win, 1 points for a draw and 0 points for a defeat.
The top two teams from each group move on to the round of 16, with the third-placed team moving to the UEFA Europa League. The bottom-placed team from each group is eliminated from further matches in Europe.
